Description

so i've been working in Holga 120 format film for most of the semester, and have really been loving it. i love the larger format, and the quality of images it produces. the surprise you get from developing the rolls and seeing what things your multiple exposures produce.
this is part of a series i developed that involved photographing people in different places, and my original concept was to draw a comparison between the personality of the individual and the place, showing that the things we fabricate effect us and reflect within us.
at this stage of the game, it's really more about perspective and technique. These images were all produced in traditional means. photographed in 120 400 speed film (arista), processed in metal tanks, and then scanned into the computer.
once they got digital, i wasn't sure where the line was drawn. i am still very stuck on the physical and tangible quality of the film, and i have produced prints from some of the images in the series, and plan to do so for most of them, so i kept the digital editing to a minimum.
it's been an adventure, which continues on.

this is the first in a two image set. it's counterpart is Crossroads: Below, which i am posting seperate from it.
